Abolitionist
Lamont has been raising awareness about child trafficking and slavery since the late 1990’s. In 2002, Lamont decided that being a spokesperson from the stage was insufficient, so he gathered some close friends and co-founded Love146. This charity works towards the abolition of child sex slavery and exploitation through advocacy, prevention and aftercare. Love146 trains aftercare workers, multiplies safehomes, aids socioeconomic development programs in high-risk communities and provides a voice for these victims of modern-day slavery. www.love146.org

Lamont also participates with the International Justice Mission (IJM) in awareness and advocacy events including recent meetings with members from the US Senate and House of Representatives.

Speaker
Lamont has spoken on themes of faith, music, social justice/abolition around the country in churches, summer festivals, discipleship training schools and university campuses including Yale, Cornell, SMU, Georgia Tech, UCONN, Biola, Lee, etc… (When he is booked as a speaker he also likes to bring his guitar;)
